Artist, Designer, Builder

As an artist, my work conceptually revolves around the interaction between human beings and their environment, and the effects they have on each other. I am currently exploring how humanity might utilize the ideas, systems & infrastructure of the manufacturing industry to create or replace natural resources, with the ultimate goal of high volume production. The Industrial Revolution marked a major turning point in our history, in addition to bringing products to the masses at low prices, Earth's ecology and humanities relationship with our environment have changed dramatically. My hope is that through this exploration, both the utopian and dystopian possibilities will be made apparent to the viewer, inspiring the creation of a socially and ecologically conscious future.

I was born in Barranquilla, Colombia in 1985 and have lived all over the continental United States. I currently live in Michigan. I studied fine art and have both a BFA in Graphic Design and an MFA in Print Media and Photography from WMU. In addition to an education in the Visual Arts I am a classically trained and accomplished percussionist, an avid motorcycle builder/rider and a manufacturing strategist. I have helped many businesses deal with all sorts of issues from technical how-to, digital workflow, operations management, and even HR woes.
